Growing up in Montreal, Canada, Cindy Busby always dreamed of becoming an actress. From the time she was a child, she loved performing for an audience.
Throughout her elementary school and high school years she devoted herself to every theatre school production. Upon graduating from High School,
Cindy, was accepted into the 'Professional Theatre program' at Dawson College in Montreal and was admitted from among hundreds of applicants.
The rigorous 3 year training allowed Cindy to demonstrate her professionalism, hard work and devotion, and was presented with an award of academic excellence.
Cindy's theatre credits include leads in 'The Miracle Worker', 'As You Like it', and the Canadian play 'Spring Planting' (performed at Village Theatre West).
In 2005, Cindy was given her first lead in the story of the Canadian hero 'Norman Bethune', and filmed for 2 ½ months in rural China. The television series attracted several millions of viewers. In the last 8 years, Cindy Busby has made a name for herself, in movies with such famous actors as: "Thrill of the Kill" starring Shiri Appleby and Chris Potter, "Killer Wave" starring Angus MacFadyen, "Let the Game Begin" starring Thomas Ian Nicholas and Adam Rodriguez, "Hostile Makeover" starring Maggie Lawson, "American Pie Presents Book of Love" starring Eugene Levy, "A Life Interrupted" starring Lea Thompson and a lead in the MGM teen comedy "Picture This" starring Ashley Tisdale and Kevin Pollack. Cindy also had the pleasure of working with creator Kevin Williamson in the popular CW drama "Vampire Diaries". Cindy recently landed a supporting lead opposite Ed Quinn in the Sci Fi Network movie "Behemoth", directed by W.D. Hogan, this movie will be released in 2010. Without a doubt, Cindy, can be most recognized as the antagonist, Ashley Stanton, a series regular on the Canadian hit CBC series "Heartland", which will soon be in syndication in the USA, as of 2010.
